Wifi
We choose to live in a quiet place, preferring to access information when we need it.
There are two reasons that our wifi is not city-quality-fast;
- our rural area is not provided with the range of services or options that a town/city provides, so the only supply offered to us is a BT supply which is bounced from very far away (although we pay the same rates as town-supply with faster speed !),
- additionally, if many visitors are using our internet supply then it will not be able to give one guest the fastest speed (which itself is not fast!).
For fast speed wifi we go to…
…Oban, to use wifi at The Rockfield Centre

and
…the Lochnell Arms Hotel at Connel Bridge
where we buy a nice coffee and sit at their open fire to use their
good wifi speed

The wifi at Blarcreen is sufficient to use for email, to download/send attachments etc, but
not
for online video-meetings (although we do this by keeping our cameras turned off).
